Seeking A Banquet Manager

What we do

Our Company

Beets Hospitality Group is an event management and catering company located in Livermore Valley Wine Country (Pleasanton, California). We operate two exclusive event venues, the Palm Event Center in the Vineyard and Casa Real at Ruby Hill Winery. Our venues only function as event spaces -- for bridal, social and corporate events -- throughout the year. We pride ourselves on creating flawless, seamless events for our guests based on our extensive experience and thorough systems and planning. We provide elevated service while still being friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. Our company strives to operate the premier event venues in the Bay Area.

Our Catering

Our company was founded by CEO Read Phillips, a graduate of the Culinary Art Institute of Hyde Park. She has cultivated a culinary culture at Beets of high standards, wanting our guests to feel as if they are dining at their favorite restaurant when at an event, rather than stereotypical banquet food. Our menus include a wide variety of inspired items -- everything from an entree of duck confit, faro, escarole, arugula and currant gastric, to a host course of braised pork steamed buns. We also strive to create unique food upgrade experiences, such as a late night French fry bar, ramen bar, or donut flambé. We have partnerships with the wineries that sit next to our event venues and promote a wine country lifestyle in our cuisine.

Company Culture
Company Culture

Beets Hospitality Group is a family-run company. Owners Read Phillips, Melody O'Shea and George Phillips believe in creating an environment that is open, honest, professional and fun. Our company employs 30+ full-time employees and 80+ part-time employees (servers, bartenders and setup crew). All employees are valued and charged with the company vision of "By going beyond expectations, every interaction, every time, we create extraordinary events." Our owners believe in a family culture that gives back to employees and the local community. This includes a generous employee benefit package, yearly retreats for full-time employees, other team-building and educational opportunities throughout the year, and proactive support for local non-profits. Our owners are keen on continuing to invest in the business to stay at the top of the industry. Every year money is put back into the properties and staff to keep the venues operating smoothly and maintain their beautiful amenities. We have assembled a talented team and employee turnover is very low. Our culture is youthful, trendy, collaborative, caring and hospitable.

Our Area

Wine Country

Livermore Valley Wine Country is a special corner of the Bay Area. Nestled among the eastern hills of Tri-Valley, Livermore Wine Country is a picturesque valley filled with over 50 wineries and numerous recreational opportunities. We are an up-and-coming area that is increasingly becoming popular over Napa and Sonoma for events. Our venues are easy to travel to, located in a beautiful area, and more affordable than other areas. We receive clients from a wide range of locales, including the South Bay, San Francisco, Peninsula, and East Bay. It's an exciting time to work in the valley with innovative partnerships happening between the corporate sector and Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, more and more big companies relocating to our area due to our friendly local governments, and an increasing quality of wine. Our schools rank as some of the best in the Bay Area. We have gorgeous scenery and a high quality of life. Biking, hiking and golfing are just some of the many activities here. The area also promotes an active arts culture, quaint downtowns and tons of shopping.
